Hot Air Ballooning Sri Lanka experience begins by picking up from hotel. We collect you from your hotel approximately one hour before sunrise. Transport to and from your hotel is provided in our luxury company vehicles.
Breakfast
Upon arrival at the Sri Lanka Balloon Take-Off Field in Kandalama, Dambulla, enjoy a light Pre-Flight Breakfast featuring a selection of Ceylon Tea and coffee.
Guests are also provided with a breakfast box containing sandwiches, bananas, and biscuits. While you savor your meal, watch the fascinating process of inflating the hot air balloons, building anticipation for your memorable flight.
Boarding & Take-Off
Your pilot will give you a safety briefing before take-off and tell you everything for a safe and enjoyable balloon ride.
Then, we start the flight by taking off slowly from Sri Lanka Balloon Take-Off Field near the lake.
1-Hour Balloon Flight
The flight has a duration of 1 hour plus or minus 10 minutes, depending on weather conditions and terrain.
We fly over the lakes, tropical jungles, beautiful birds, friendly locals and the geographical beauties of Sri Lanka.
Landing Ceremony
After landing, we celebrate in style with a traditional glass of Champagne, Juice, Water and Cake
and your pilot hands out your personalized Sri Lanka Balloon Flight Certificate.
After the ceremony our luxury minibuses will take you back to your hotel and from this moment on, your Hot Air Ballooning Sri Lanka experience will be an unforgettable memory.
Payment Methods

Optional In-Flight Media Package
During the flight, pilots may capture videos and photos using in-flight cameras. After landing, these media files are made available for purchase directly from the pilots. This is an independent service offered by the pilots as an optional add-on for those interested. Prices and availability may vary.
What you should know about Hot Air Ballooning Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka Balloon Flights are dependent on good weather conditions and Pilot can decide to cancel the balloon flight any time. In case of flight cancellation due to bad weather conditions, full amount will be refunded.
If you wish and we have availability, possible to attend next day’s flight.
You should allow 3 hours from start to finish. We aim to have you back at your hotel in time to join any morning sightseeing you may have arranged. Also, possible to drop you another location (within our package included transfer distance) if you wish.
You should wear comfortable shoes and dress casually for a comfortable Hot Air Ballooning Sri Lanka experience.

Policy on Chidren
For safety reasons, we prefer not to carry children younger than 6 years of age. However, we may welcome younger guests if the current weather conditions are superb for the kids. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. If you have any queries, please contact us.
Gift Voucher
Please mention that you want to book the flight as gift in the Requests section of the form. Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you the voucher by email. Sri Lanka Balloon Gift Vouchers purchased by simply completing the Reservation Form. Please mention that you want to book the flight as gift in the Requests section of the form. The gift certificates are issued for a spesific date or any day for one year from the date of issue (Hot Air Ballooning Sri Lanka operated from November to May).
Cancellation Policy
Flights are dependent on good weather conditions. In case of flight cancellation due to bad weather conditions, full amount will be refunded. If you wish and we have availability, possible to attend next day’s flight. On the other hand, if you want to cancel your Sri Lanka Balloon Flight, you can cancel it up to 48 hours before the flight and you can get your payment back. The flight date belongs to a Gift Vouchers could be changed in upon request and depanding availability and the vouchers are refundable only in case of flight cancellation due to weather conditions.
